Music Masters

As part of the Pacific Symphony’s commitment to arts education in the schools, Music Masters provides weekly string instruction for 30 weeks in Anaheim during the regular school day. Over 200 students from four elementary schools and one middle school participate in the program. Scholarships are available to fourth, fifth and sixth graders to assist with the cost of instrument rental and materials. The program culminates in a joint concert involving all of the student musicians each spring.

Youth Concerts

The Pacific Symphony presents its annual Youth Concerts over seven days (14 performances) at the Orange County Performing Artscenter. The concerts are free of charge for a total of 28,000 elementary students throughout the region. The Youth Concerts are the culmination presentation of the Class Act program. Volunteer assistance is an integral part of the program; each day over 75 volunteers from the Pacific Symphony League, Class Act, and the Volunteers in Education help guide the students and teachers from their buses, into the concert hall and to their seats. Preparatory classroom materials are distributed in advance to extend the educational value of the concert experience.
